We'll wait for allison & chromatic to show before we start... (at least for a few minutes) % chromatic has joined #parrotsketch one down, one to go :) As you know, I volunteered to be the Projet Manager for parrot going forward. I haven't had much time to work on that with the release this week, so expect more in the run up to 0.4.11 on that front. release is pretty close, one failing distro test that ptc is tracking down. I still have NEWS and ChangeLog to slog through, but everythign seems to be going well otherwise. Used RT more for this release than i think we have in the past, se let's mix up the order a bit this week: (we'll get allison later, I guess). particle, mdiep, bernhard? ~ Crow is ready. should make today's release announcements easier ~ worked with chromatic++ on Parrot::Embed. got the last few link bugs fixed. still failing tests on win32, but it's progress ~ lots of chatter on #parrot, much from new contributors. good to see .end moment. Used RT more for this release than i think we have in the past, seemed to work out pretty well so far. (there. report that was truncated) mdiep: ? bernhard? (failing that, chromatic? =-) Not much going on the last weeks. Still working on bringing the Plumhead variants to one state. Thinking about code gen for NCI with SWIG .EOR pmichaud: ? Alas, I did not get to work on #parrot as much as hoped this past week. (family stuff) I did answer a few questions here and there, and hung around for bug day I expect to be back on Parrot tasks in the next couple of days EOR back to c? allison: Reviewed and applied or rejected Sam's patches to Test::More allison: Worked on the great bug day allison: Updated the FAQ; needs review allison: Applying changes to the objects PDD I worked with particle to get Parrot::Embed working with MSVC. It doesn't pass the tests because it needs PATH set before running them; that should be a quick fix. I wrote patches for a bunch of tickets. The "no compiler" one should probably get backed out, unless the second patch I posted gets checked in instead. That's it for me. ... leo_ ? =-) hi all nothing to report though leo_: we miss you. :-) ENOTIME - sorry glad to see you're here, though :-) Ok. This is my first time. Did I miss anyone who wishes to report? I managed to come home early today ;) I have a lib/Parrot/Pmc2c/PMETHODs.pm refactor that will hit SVN once the release gets cut. We seem to have gotten a few more developers submitting patches recently, which is great. Anyone blocking on anything other than the release? I'm just blocking on time (and should be unblocking shortly) I'm blocking on not understanding the memory management system. % smash has joined #parrotsketch I know the normal question is "is everyone having fun", but I want to reverse that... anything bothering anyone? Anything annoying we should fix? chromatic: I can't help you with your own brain. =-) Sheesh. Y'all are quiet today! rt is annoyingly slow. especially intermittently with email. % chromatic has left chromatic!~chromatic@63.105.17.30 this often comes up in #parrot (i just submitted a bug, where is it?) many of my annoyances (gc bugs, lack of import methods, etc.) have been fixed in the past couple of weeks, so I'm happy (rt) Ok. I'll talk to Robrt about that. Whats is chromatic trying to do with the mms? resource utilization bug w/ pge & gc is annoying -G is a bandage i'd like to remove for good When will the release get cut? late EDT. Ok mdiep already has added a bunch of tickets to the 0.4.11 release milestone ticket. looks like we're building up some momentum. % chromatic has joined #parrotsketch Ok. Anything else? short meeting today... nothing else from me chromatic: I'll get your patch backed out. chromatic: if you have any question re memory management please query me on #parrot Thanks! chromatic: and once you've picked his brain, get it written down. =-) Ok. Guess that's it then. I'll be on #parrot later this evening, putting the finishing touches on the release. And then I'll happily pass the pumpkin off to mdiep. =-) Thanks to everyone who did all the heavy lifting for this release. yay, a short meeting. see ya next week ^Z % pmichaud has left #parrotsketch % chromatic has left #parrotsketch % bernhard has left bernhard!~bernhard@p549a32a4.dip0.t-ipconnect.de % particle has left particle!~particle@144.81.84.208 % particle has joined #parrotsketch % smash has left #parrotsketch % bernhard has joined #parrotsketch % bernhard has left bernhard!~bernhard@p549a111b.dip0.t-ipconnect.de % particle_ has joined #parrotsketch % particle has left particle!~particle@144.81.84.168
