<chromatic> I'd like to get rid of as many compilation warnings as possible, and that might mean removing the "warn on unused functions" warning, as it doesn't do the right thing here.

<chromatic> At least on x86/Linux/gcc for me it warns about a couple of atomic asm functions that do get used a lot but aren't necessarily visible to static analysis, and that gives a lot of false positives.
