<allison> - Spent some time talking to Raster from Enlightenment about running on small embedded devices (and garbage collection, etc)
<allison> - Didn't get much dev time, but did make progress on the final struct generation code for PMCs.
<allison> - I have a few quiet days in Portland, before Frozen Perl this weekend. Then no more distractions until April.

<pmichaud> nothing serious -- mainly there for observation because she was running a fever (which she undoubtedly contracted from me and the kids from the previous week)
<pmichaud> anyway, little got done on rakudo or parrot, but we're back at home now and I'm getting caught up on email and back to rakudo stuff in a couple of hours

<rgrjr> * started learning about packfiles in the process, which will help with debugger development, a project i'd like to undertake in a few months (when $job and $life settle down).

<chromatic> Okay.  The JIT core still needs an update for the task scheduler.  I filed that ticket before the previous release.

<kj> Some issues with PAST nodes, but these have been expressed on the list already. I refer to the issue with lexicals, and handling returns/break/continue and other related control-flow commands. It's not blocking me.

<pmichaud> my feeling is that PAST is actually pretty close to correct already
<kj> pmichaud: yes, I don't really see how things could be improved, but when running it, it just doesn't work. I don't know exactly how closures work in parrot, apparently.
<pmichaud> I'll write up an explanation/reply to the mailing list

<pmichaud> but PAST needs a little tweaking, yes.

<pmichaud> there is a slight possibility that I may need to move the release to wednesday -- depends on paula's treatment schedule (which is a little up in the air at the moment)
